Special Session

Special Session I: Empowering Humanity: The Future of Generative and Embodied AI

Dr. Jafar Shayan, Sustainova Tech
Dr. Sasan Karamizadeh, Ershad Damavand Institute of Higher Education

This session explores how Generative AI and Embodied AI are reshaping the relationship between humans and intelligent systems. As these technologies move from research labs into real-world applications, they are beginning to influence how people make decisions, access knowledge, and interact with their environments—both digitally and physically.
We focus on the potential of these AI systems to enhance human agency, creativity, and well-being across various domains such as education, healthcare, and sustainability. The session also considers broader societal questions: How can we ensure these advancements serve the many, not just the few? What design principles and governance models are needed to democratize access to powerful AI tools?
Through a mix of perspectives, the session aims to surface both the near-term applications and the longer-term implications of intelligent systems that not only understand language but can also act in the world. We welcome contributions that combine technical insight with a human-centered perspective, as we explore how to build a future where AI meaningfully supports and empowers people in their daily lives.

Topics:
• Generative AI for decision support, personalization, and creativity
• Embodied AI in human-assistive and interactive environments
• Human-centric AI system design and evaluation
• Frameworks for maximizing positive societal impact
• Democratization and responsible access to AI technologies
